Let’s attempt to understand the beauty and power of the rainbow, as a metaphor for the essential essence of humanity.
In Étúnó language, ÓRÜPÉZÁ is derived from two words. Órúpá and Ézá.
“Órüpá” is a rope.
Ézá is bean.
Órúpézá means the “bean rope”.
The bean plant is a creeper and it fundamentally, always intertwines with other bean plant strands and any other random plants in its vicinity.
Órúpézá is a binding element that engenders bonding.
Órúpézá is an all-embracing elemental spiri that unites and organically strengthens itself, by creating a fusion in and around its ecology.
Órúpézá is the distant rainbow that is radiant in its beauty, only because its colours combine deliberately, to create a broad spectrum of a spectacular delight to behold.
Individual colours of the rainbow are not nearly as impressive as its harmonized whole. That is why the rainbow is so powerful in its dominance across the skyline, intimidating its surrounding space.
History records Etunoland and it’s inhabitants as Órúpézá.
The individual families of Etunoland are so intricately intertwined, over the generations, through marriages and social coexistence that delineating the exclusive family boundaries, is bound to be an exercise in futility. This informs our world view and I believe this holds true, globally.
Denying or denigrating the Órúpézá philosophy in the culture and sociology of Etunoland and the world at large, can only be tantamount to living a lie or willful self-destruction or both.
Órúpézá is the broom stick that sweeps better, as part of a bunch of broomsticks.
The lone broom stick breaks easily, but it defies destruction, when tied with other broom sticks, in a bunch. Verified wisdom-proven truth.
Órúpézá is the missing link in the life and survival of the lone traveler who confronts a journey’s perilous and treacherous challenges, all alone, with a little chance of survival.
Órúpézá is the beauty of the chorus of an orchestra, combining many solo voices, in unison, to create soul-stirring and multi-dimensional harmonic melodies.
Órúpézá is the power of a people UNITED unconditionally, in love and peace, for progress.
Órúpézá is the coalition of a people of a common and shared heritage, ancestry or common-denominator interests, against the threats of divisiveness, hate, deceit, anger, retrogression and stagnation.
Órúpézá is the panacea for development, growth, sustenance and love.
Órúpézá is life, in its innocence and beauty.
Órúpézá is the way forward. It is Etunoland’s divine philosophical gift to the world and it sustains our reality and our inestimable future.
Órúpézá epitomizes the resurgent golden ‘age of community’.
In a world desperate for globalization on skewed terms, Órúpézá is the answer.
